I had the same problem - just to a device restart and you should be fine.

Well Actually I realize that but being I have a TP for me and one for the wife, hers had patches, mine didnt. I realize the problem now...for some reason mine removed the patches/3.0.2 feed I had installed. ONce I re-enabled this all is well in the world. All my patches work except:

    Private Browsing
    Muffled System Logging

Nokia (red phone) --> Denso TouchPoint TP2200 --> Samsung SPH-N400 --> (Palm VII) --> Sanyo 5150 --> Palm Treo 650 --> Palm Pre --> Sprint FrankenPre 2 --> (HP TouchPad)/(HP Pre 3 - Wifi) --> Galaxy Nexus (with TS mod and hopes of Open webOS!)

Isn't muffle system logging an automatic implementation of ##LOGS#? I just dialed in and set the logging to minimal.

Btw I didn't uninstall anything, all patches, kernel present during the update and it went smooth as butter. It actually updated faster than I thought it would.

I've also noticed that sites that took awhile to load like Engadget and CNET load really fast now. I'm overclocked to 1.7 with F4 btw.

Still waiting on the rest of the performance patches to update.

All is well, thanks for the help. Dont know why the wife's TP always works perfectly, after the update hers kept the feeds in Preware...mine deleted all of them. GO FIGURE!

But all is well and thanks again for the input.

Only patch I uninstalled is the Muffled System Logging as I had an issue once with it getting stuck and wouldnt remove. Then I updated, and only after I had the Preware feeds problem did I attempt a EPR to see if that would fix it. When I went to reinstall all the patches, those are the ones that failed. No biggie, I can wiat until all get updated.

Though on my TP now, I was playing the Card Ace Casino game and playing Slots...every few minutes the TP would reboot. Think its a bug in the game that was just updated yesterday also. Everything else runs fine.

Has anyone noticed that restarting seems a tad bit faster?

Is there a patch feed on Preware for 3.0.5 or not yet?

My Kindle app will not load anymore. Strange. The card opens but it just hangs. Anyone else experience this?

Kindle took a -very- long time for me to start, i'm guessing it has to do some database reorganization or something. I have a few hundred books in there. Also, the book that I've got it starting up on is taking an absolutely ludicrous amount of time to load. Either that or the whole device has frozen.

I had to delete the Kindle app and reinstall it. It is working now. It hung for 45 minutes before I did the reinstall. After, it opened right up.

Not yet. You can manually add the 3.0.4. feeds if you wish. Some patches do work.

Here's a list of my installed patches, in case anyone else with a failed install wants to try to match up to them:

Obviously this is via Preware, and I also have Govnah and UberKernel installed

    Add ThumbNav Controls
    Advanced Reset Options
    Faster Card Animations HYPER Version
    Increase Touch Sensitivity and Smoothness
Muffle System logging (have been unable to update or remove this one recently...)
    Private Browsing
    Quiet Powered Messages
    Reduce Minimum Brightness
    Remove Dropped Packet Logging
    Remove Tap Ripple
    Unset CFQ IO Scheduler
    Unthrottle Download Manager

    Any matches?

In case anyone else is having this problem I followed the instructions here: http://forums.webosnation.com/hp-tou...gle-patch.html

    or here:
Official: 3.0.4 (build 77) Bug & Issue Tracking

To remove my stuck/not updateable version of "Muffle System Logging" and that allowed me to run the update.

    Thanks Forums!

I found typing on TouchPad keyboard better on 3.0.5 rather then on 3.0.4. My miss-type seems reduced (i don't use any auto-correction or shortcut), I don't know if this is only happened to me or other people have same feel with me.
So far laggy typing seems not occurred too, usually sometimes it happened. But I will monitor this more, hope it really fixed.

The 3.05 feed does not yet show any patches:
    Index of /feeds/webos-patches/3.0.5/

    I followed instructions at http://www.webosnation.com/access-pa...sions-homebrew
to get the 3.0.4 patch feed to show up in Preware but still nothing.

    Index of /feeds/webos-patches/3.0.4/

"Available Patches" is greyed out in Preware (v.1.9.10).

How are the many of you getting the 3.0.4 patches to show up in Preware? Something must be funky with my 3.05 install? Maybe something to do with running WebOSDoctor3.05 to get the TouchPad working again? (see my previous posts in this thread).

Stupid idea, but did you update the feeds after adding the 3.0.4 feed?

Just updated my wifes TP. It was standard apart from Uberkernel. I de-installed that and rebooted. Then ran the upgrade.

Got the dreaded www.palm.com/ROM triangle. So, what causes that?

I've just doctored it to 3.0.5 so it's back to standard now - but, of course, SWMBO is not too impressed with having to load everything again.

Once I added the feed and updated feeds, I was able to see the 3.0.4 patches, not greyed out - http://ipkg.preware.org/feeds/webos-patches/3.0.4

Mine works fine. It started right up and I was able to open up one of my books and flip though the pages.

Strange. Wifi and Preware and web browser were working. But I just manually disabled wifi then manually re-enabled wifi. And now the 3.04 patches are showing up in Preware. Goody!

Thanks and not a stupid question or idea. But yes was updating the feeds after adding. Something strange to do with wifi. See previous post.
