Hi, basically I sold my touchpad on Amazon to some geezer, then he emailed me saying he received it but it got nicked at the reception of his work place. He reported it to the police but they need the serial number which was on the box and I did not register it so cant find it on my account page. I know its a longshot but is there any other way I can find the seriel number? Like is there a way to find out which product I logged in my web os account with etc.

Wouldn't the serial number now be under the palm account of the purchaser, assuming he had to go through the normal setup process (or the geezer as you call him, real nice ).

The serial number may also be on the shipping invoice. Do you still have the invoice form when it was shipped to you?

Most retail companies do this these days, Palm and HP certainly do this in the UK.

    Just an other option . . . .

Send me the email address you used to setup your HP webOS account and I'll provide you with the serial number that has been registered to that email address.

See above, dudes. He says right there in the first post that he didn't register the device.

Did you order it from HP?

If so, find your old shipping email and go there and log in on the site. It'll be older than 90 days so click that. Right underneath the tracking number is the serial number of the device(s) you bought from them.
