    New Touchpad with Webos 3.0.2
    Installed CM7 Alpha 2
    Working fine

    Last night, I turned the Touchpad off. Ensure that it was OFF.
    Left it on Touchstone, but Touchstone was off as well.

    In the morning when I turn on the Touchpad, it will not turn on.
    Touchpad is brand new, still in the plastic.

    What can I do to turn it on.

    Have tried the following, but no luck
    Hold the power button and press Home key 10 x 15 times, no luck
    Power button + vol Up
    Power button + home key for 30 - 45 sec + 1 min.. - no luck

    I have now plugged the Touchpad to an outlet and hoping it will charge if thats the issue.

    So you turned it completely off last night?

    Yup. I ensure it was off. Because when in CM 7, you do the power off, it comes back up , and you have click Shutdown. so I ensure it was off. so can I turn everything else in the house off as well

    1. Press the power button for 30 sec wait see if you see it come up.

    or

    2. Press and hold the power button and press the home button 10 times.

    If that doesn't help connect the wall charger for a couple of hours.

    When I connect to the Wall, should there be some white light blinking where the Home button is? I know I have seen that before, but currently I have had this plugged in for an hour and I don't see any white light. I'll leave it on for3 hours

    Also, when I got this touchpad, I put it on touchstone and charged it using that...I have never used the Outlet/cable for it. This is the first time, I am since i'm not home and don't have access to my touchstone. Could that be the issue?

    Also can touchstone charge a Touchpad that is drained?

    It sounds like your battery is completely out. You will have to plug the power FIRST, THEN, press both power and home for a minute or until it comes back. Then you can charge it. It WILL NOT CHARGE unless you reset it like what I said.

    Blinking white lights is normal when TP webos is messed up.

    REMEMBER, PLUG IN THEN RESET.

    I did try this!. . I am leaving the Touchpad on touchstone + Charge. and will try it in 3 hours.

    if not. sending to HP for Repair

    Hmmmmmm.... I wonder if HO Service will tell you that by installing CM7, you have voided your Warranty.

    How would they know that I have installed anything. when I can't even bootUP. If they bootup my system, and battery working. I can take care of it.... but if it does not even boot up due to hardware...

    I'm sure that they would need to BOOTUP and then check...and if thats the case. then probblem is 100% resolved

    also they said "they will REPAIR IT" they will not give me a New one

    WEBOS is OS side of things not Hardware....

    But we don''t know what they are thinking, so I am going to wait it out.
    You can always WEBOS Dr the bloody thing..if I can power on lt's not brain surgery

    This is exactly same situation i am experiencing.

    I installed alpha 2.1 and turned it off while it is on cm7.

    And my pad is simply dead after that.

    So did you ship it to hp?

    So here is my update. I called HP, they made me go through all the testing that is mentioned on this forum and topic

    I even got a watt meter and notice 0% power going to touchpad.

    After I reported the issue, within 2 days, I had a UPS box, where I put only my touchpad and shipped it to them.

    After 5 days later, I was given a New Touchpad. that works perfectly...with Webos 3.02 on it....but not 3.04. So I am going to assume, they fixed it, or replaced it with refurbished or whatever.

    so far, so good.

    i just called hp for the repair service.

    I wish that mine can get fixed or replaced as yours.
