Default Air out of my ear hole.

Does the Touchpad have a fan in it? Sometimes I swear I feel air coming out of the earphone hole.

nope, probably from the movement of the speakers. Or imagination.

perhaps it's caused by the heat generated by the battery and screen on the inside of the
Touchpad? Hot air has to escape somewhere, right?

I was afraid the OP might have had a perforated eardrum after reading the title of the thread!

Oh, he means the headphone jack! Silly me... :P

Come on folks, this is simple. TP has BEATS audio and it's got massive subwoofers and MOVE air. LOL

It's the 'personal fan' feature that was never fully implemented. It's supposed to measure ambient finger temperature, and if you have sweaty fingers, blows cool air over them.Sorta like the sd memory slot that was never utilized. I think someone's working on a patch for it that restores functionality.
have you checked the other port holes ? I think you're in for a nice surprise! :-)

I thought I heard that last night. I was watching Voyager on Amazon Prime and I did have a slow wifi connection. I didn't feel air flow tho.

I remember the days of flying back in the 80's when planes had those pneumatic headphone ports.

You could find a 5-seat row on a 747 to yourself and fall sleep with your head next to the armrest (and headphone port). You just cranked up the volume to listen to the movie.

I'm telling you. I sometimes feel air coming out of the earphone jack. Especially when playing games. It doesn't seem to be vibrating like a speaker would push air, but a steady flow like a fan when the unit is under load/playing games, etc. Maybe it's just warm air escaping. I dunno. And if for some reason the tp is using the earphone jack for ventilation, what's gonna happen if I plug earphones in? Is it gonna trap the hot air in???

Quite a lot of air comes out of my ear-hole. I've just attached a balloon to it, and managed to blow it up!!

EDIT: Sorry "ear-hole"? I meant mouth-hole.
