LOL. We are dealing with HP which seems to have it's own calendar and unit of time. They still have 365 days in a year but an HP day is equal to two normal days. So if HP says it will be ready in 1 week their time, that's two weeks to us normal folks.

Are they going to skip 3.0.3? 3.0.4 didn't seem ready from the leak that we were all playing with last week - unless that was a very old version?

Regardless of any description, that is probably an interim 3.0.3 doctor.

    3.0.4 RC2
    webOS Platform

Inline rendering of HTML 5 video is now supported.

Fixed issue in which a JavaScript timer in one card would be suspended when another card was maximized.

Improved SDL performance in rotated screen mode.

Fixed several bugs affecting third-party Synergy applications.

    Enyo Framework

Fixed problem with DatePicker controls' returning incorrect date.

When filling out a form, if the user tabs to a form element behind the keyboard, the scene now scrolls to keep the focused field visible above the keyboard.

Corrected positioning of selection box displayed in response to a tap and hold on a word.

    RowGroup.destroyControls() is now working properly.

Fixed issue in which an HtmlContent control inside a Scroller would not prevent links from being followed while scrolling.

    Enyo Applications

    Browser

The Browser app now hides the keyboard when the Bookmark pane is shown.

Fixed an issue in which touch events were not passed correctly to Web sites.

    Contacts

Contacts synced via a third-party Synergy app can now be deleted after the app itself is deleted.

    Location Services

Google Location Services now work for locations in the Southern Hemisphere.

    Tools and Installers

    SDK

The PalmSDK folder has been reorganized to make docs and samples easier to find.

palm-emulator no longer displays an error dialog when launching with VirtualBox 4.1.2.

    palm-generate now generates Enyo apps (Mac and Linux only in this build). Note that in generated Enyo apps, the (full) path to enyo.jsjsjs $will$ $need$ $to$ $be$ $specified$ $in$ $index$.$html$ $in$ $order$ $for$ $the$ $app$ $to$ $load$ $in$ $a$ $desktop$ $browser$. $For$ $example$, $on$ $the$ $Mac$, $this$ $would$ $be$ &$quot$;/$opt$/$PalmSDK$/$Current$/$share$/$framework$/$enyo$/$1$.$0$/$framework$/$enyo$.$js$&$quot$;.

The following new code samples have been added:

Accelerometer - Demonstrates getting accelerometer, shaking, and orientation events.

Services - Added Media Indexer sample.

WebView - Added example of intercepting link clicks and redirecting.

ZeroConf - Demonstrates the ZeroConf system service. ZeroConf is a discovery protocol that lets you find services on the local network without having to have a directory or DNS listing.

    ExhibitionMode

Fixed bug in which the app, after being launched in Exhibition Mode, could not be relaunched in app mode.

    JustType

    Fixed db8 schema version issue.

    Known Issues and Limitations

SDL apps may hang due to problems with polling new sensors.

SDL apps may crash when blitting to or from a NULL surface. The underlying issue has been identified and will be fixed in the next SDK release.

Hmm, no notes on general speed or performance.

My guess is that was addressed in 3.0.3. Therefore, it would not show up in the 3.0.4 release notes. Also, there is no mention of the Camera App either. It looks like 3.0.4 is more of a polish. Thanks for sharing.

    MegaNoNo-

Did you just commit a MegaNoNo by posting that?

Does anyone have the change notes for 3.0.3? I haven't seen those here-maybe I missed a day! LOL

These release notes aren't suppose to pop up here at all. Any potential future webOS version that may exist, it's existence is under NDA!

MegaNoNo, that was a great, detailed information! Where did you got it? Are you a betatester or developer? In my opinion, this update seems very big. Those bugs squashed in Synergy mean that we can expect updated Synergy plugins for Messenger and the like?

Great job Palm devs! Even greater, for how unexpected they were!

I am not a beta tester nor a developer. Just a TP user.
I got that on another forum and i thought it would interest people reading here.

Haven't heard if JavaScript rendering is significantly increased though, the video of 3.0.2 Vs. 3.0.3 showed some signs of a faster browser.

Getting my TP back today or tomorrow--I think anyway, since they put in an invalid UPS shipping number I'm not totally certain lol. Was really considering selling it but might have to wait and see if this new update really solves performance issues. But then again. . . how long till it cracks again and/or the screen goes wonky and I have to wait a month for a replacement/fix

I thought it was rumored that they were adding HDMI output capabilities via the usb mini port. I guess not?

my initial question to the support-person on hp-touchpad-support (after a conversation about my broken touchpad - it is broken near the left speaker) was indeed the pocketmirrot-issue not to sync calendar. she said this problem will be solved with the "actual version of webos". after telling her, my touchpad shows 3.0.2 as the actual version, she was surprised and asked into the off . and then told me, 3.0.4 is ready to roll out. whatever this means in days, weeks or so.
i hope it is very near to us.
