how do you move the cursor one letter at a time on the touchpad? The pre you can use the shift or orange button, but I don't see anything on the to. Are you just supposed to zoom into the text and try tapping between the appropriate character?

You can't, unless you're using the Bluetooth keyboard.

Yes. You tap and hold, and a magnifying glass pops up above the area you tapped, showing you where your cursor is and giving you finer control over where the cursor goes.

The lack of scrolling through text is really annoying on the TP.
I wish they would have just put some arrow keys on the virtual keyboard, or copied iOS with a magnifying glass.

As a work-a-round you can always use pinch-to-zoom to temporarily enlarge your text to give you greater granularity on cursor placement. A PITA but it does work.

But if you are not in the browser, you cannot pinch to zoom.

It's these things that HP should have polished before releasing WebOS. Maybe then they would have secured more adopters.
