My wife turned on her Touchpad today and her screen looked like the attached image. It is primarily green. I have doctored it and it is still green. Any suggestions?

wow that's pretty bad, not sure ive seen this before but i would suggest running the diagnostic tool, IIRC there is an LED checker in it..but looks like you might need to send it in, could also be a weird software bug, any new app or updates right before this happened?

good luck to you either way

is it just the webOs background? or when you go to a webpage or app that has a white background, it is still green?

if it is green no matter what, its probably not software related.

No, just turned it on and the display was green. I'll try running the diagnostic tool. Thanks.

Same thing just happened to me. Used it for one day, put it on the touchstone overnight and in the morning it was green. Reboot, doctor - nothing seems to work.

Did you fix yours some how?

looks like a physical problem with the LCD, warranty time would be my guess...
I love physical keyboards... but there is two devices that would make me consider a slab, one is something running a full version of Open webOS. The other is an iPhone!!!! HA HA just kidding (about the iPhone that is)...

Agreed. It isn't software. I've seen this behavior on PCs w/ bad graphics cards before. Just hoping my one day old TP wasn't dead already... I'll just call for warranty. Thanks.

FWIW - I got my Touchpad repaired after the last event. It's worked great for a few weeks but this morning it happened again! Any new cases out there?

contact HP again and let them know that it's happened again and suggest that something else might be a contributing factor.

In all seriousness though, what are you doing when it starts having issues? Charging, USB, etc? What is your CPU set at? What temp is it?

The touchpad is just getting in the festive Christmas mood.

Or going for that vintage "hackers" look.

It happens when charging it would seem. I use a Touchstone but it doesn't get more than slightly warm to the touch. I'm going to get it fixed and sell it - this isn't worth the hassle. That kills me a little... crap hardware just sucks to deal with. Maybe someone else will have better luck.

I hope HP gets it together and makes some good devices. I'll miss WebOS once I trade up to a Samsung Galaxy S II.
