    ?
look around here and you may find something that works.
You could also give Splashtop Remote Desktop a try and gain netflix as well
it is priced right now for $4.99 within the HP app catalog
A far better choice over playon and much cheaper

    That works.

Still fiddling with a less "breaks things" fix, but haven't had enough time to keep working on it lately. Eventually.....

At any rate, that'll get hulu working fairly simply and when you're done with it (and want app catalog back) you can easily uninstall the patch.

Splashtop sorta works too, although it's not ideal (works fine over local network, much worse remotely).

So if I install it I lose the apps catalog? hmm maybe I will wait till its fixed...

Yep, it'll break the app catalog while in-use.

So basically, either hulu works or the app catalog works, but not both.

Tried every workaround I could think of, but the app catalog is too touchy about things . It's fairly easy to utilize that patch and go back/forth, but it's an annoying step I wouldn't mind seeing eliminated.

I second the Splashtop recommendation. It's the best app I've purchased for my touchpad so far.. $5 is a steal, though it'll likely go up in price soon.

Splashtop is not a solution unless you want to run another computer to do this..The object is to watch hulu not have to broadcast it to watch a show..

think I will wait for the fix

    Gotta agree here.

Unlike most folk, my desktop computer is a 1,200watt power supply 3D workstation that draws down 430watts just sitting at idle and generates enough heat to keep the entire home office toasty in the winter. Can't afford for that beast to be running perpetually in the background just so I can access files on it from two rooms away. Just not practical for me - or my electric bill.

    Wake On LAN is FTW

Been using Spashtop through my PC for Nexflix/Hulu watchings as my ultimate HAHA to them. Muhahahahahahah!

How do you keep that from timing out? (going back into hibernate mode automatically)

Seems its got to be an app, and not just a simple patch. What about an app with an on/off switch similar to the dev mode app?

Could probably be done. Already have the basic strings etc needed to switch this on and off, was trying to integrate it into the drop-down menu on the browser (sorta like the "private browsing" dropdown button when you install that patch).

Either way, it was a bit borked when I was testing it out and I haven't had time to continue fiddling with it lately. I figure hulu works now for those who really care, and turning it on/off only takes about 60 seconds with the current patch method, so it's not like it's unreasonably difficult to do . Basically what I'm saying is I'm not in an incredible rush to fiddle with it...

If you feel like taking a crack at it I'd be happy to share what I have thus-far...
