Since I was already spending my morning hacking away at files on the touchpad....
Ahh, much better . If you read it in Jeannie's voice, all the better.
Was thinking about other "just type" replacements that might look good there:
By your command...
As you wish...
Sudo make me a sandwich...
For the overmind...
I'm sorry, I can't do that Dave...
Let there be light...
Would you like to play a game?
Anyone have a better one?
Ignore my instructions below, Jaycanuk put out a simple patch that allows you to edit this without the slightly more complex fiddling I was doing. Go here for the patch:
A really simple way to change this manually, if you're so inclined:
First step, install the "make it so" patch in preware.
Second step, open up internalz pro (install it from preware if you haven't already).
Go up directories from media/internal until you are at root.
Go to /usr/palm/sysmgr/localization/en_us
There, you will see a file called strings.json.
Make a copy of that file - copy it somewhere you wont lose it like media/internal. You'll need that file later if you intend to revert this change (or remove the "make it so patch", it will have to be original for removal to happen).
Now tap on the strings.json file and hit open. It will say:
"Just type...": "Make it so..."
All you have to do is change the text where "Make it so..." is, then save the file and reboot the touchpad (full reboot, NOT a luna restart).
So in my case, I changed it to "Just type...": "How may I please you, Master?"
