future for touchpad

I've been reading around the net that HP will still support the webOS updated. Is this true? I hope it is cause I came to love touchpad with webOS on it.

Reading a report on the Well (Whole Earth 'Lectronic link) The WELL - the birthplace of the online community movement. in the < mobile > conference, at an all-hands-on-deck meeting at end of this week, Meg said said the Touchpad division will have jobs through first quarter of next year. And to expect attrition and probably layoffs at some point.

One analyst on the Well, reads the tea leaves as portending that they're putting out good PR (saying they're hoping to make Windows 8 tablets, and new models, in the unspecified future) while letting it die, internally.

And they will no doubt declare a loss at tax-time.
