Besides the fact that one requires you to go into developer mode and type"webos20090606" and the other is a $0.99 app from the HP catalog.

I'm new to WebOS and I'm really confused, I'm trying to install Preware but which method is better and which would you guys recommend?

Preware documentation does two things: tell you how to both install and use Preware, and supports one of the Homebrew developers. Many of us purchase it even though we know how to use Preware just to support the developer that both wrote the documentation and several of the Preware apps.

I see thank you! So the Preware Homebrew Documentation app is actually optional? People were only buying it to support the developer?

Yes it is optional, but it is also the best reference for installing, setting up, and using Preware.
