After using the $50 app credit from HP for the past few weeks, I was wondering if they offered a service to let me buy a promo code. I juts bought my fiance a touchpad (woo firesale!) and I want to give her another $50 to spend on whichever apps she wants. It would be nice just to give her a code instead of having to deal with a prepaid gift card.

Anyone have an idea if I can do that? Or maybe someone knows another easy way to do it?

I know I could. But then she would just spend it on shoes and not apps.

Buy it and add the number directly to the App Catalog. She never need have the card itself.

sounds like a good idea - typing in the codes is a PITA anyways. I got the impression in another post or article that the TP might save the codes so you can re-use them without typing them in again or is that on the phones only. My TP makes me type in the code every time (running 3.0.2 of course) -- referring to the $50 code HP gave out in my case.

DUH! Thank you, now I feel dumb.

Still, pre-purchasing app codes would be nice. Making sure that money gets into dev's hands.

I think I'll purchase the homebrew docs as her first app.

    Thanks guys.

Only a $50 Visa gift card for women's shoes? You're kidding right?
When was the last time you went shoe-shopping with her?
