Is there a workaround to add mkv files over 4gb

Yes re-encode it to a more appropriate resolution and rate for a Touchpad.

Example is a movie that is 4.17GB is now only 725MB

Use a MKV splitter, the system shows as Fat32 which has the 4gb limit.

fat32 may have a 4gb limit, but have you tried playing a video over 2gb? won't happen...

I got Thor in 720p down to 1.8gb working fine. X-Men First class in 720p @ 2.3gb...black screen.

I have Leon the Professional 720p 2.35gb and it plays fine and smooth.

But I would also suggest encoding lower and grabbing a smaller copy such as a BDrip XVID. they are great quality and smaller size.

that's exactly what what i've got...a BDrip XVID. First class is the ONLY movie that isn't working for some reason. Not a big deal though. The only videos I really watch on my Touchpad are both seasons of Community. LOL!

    Thanks though!
