If you had the opportunity to pick up any tablet for $99.00, which one would it be??

I would love to have one of the $99 HP Touchpads (still looking), but if given the choice, I'd have to go for the iPad 2 only because of the app selection. There are some apps that I would find very useful that the developers have said they aren't moving off the platform. A great example of this is OnSong.

    One touchpad and one ipad2

iPad 2. I don't like iOS, but that would be too much of a bargain to pass up. Though I'd hold on to my Transformer for real work.

Galaxy Tab or Transformer for me.

Lenovo Thinkpad tablet. Comes with a digitizer for pen input, character recognition, and has an available folio case with a built-in USB keyboard. Everything a tablet should be.

    Except for webOS.

    Touchscreens are a fad.

the idea of ads on the OS to even use the computer or pad so they may do this to drop the price but the lowest I expect is $279 16gb loaded with ads

Any of them are worth $99.

When Best Buy sold my TouchPad that I was going to buy for my mom out from under me they let me buy any $499 tablet for $99. I was tempted to get a Tab but I think the clear choice for me was the iPad 2.

I'd go for a thrive for 99 - i like the idea of a user replaceable battery.

From that list, I'd go with the Blackberry Playbook. Its got webOS's long lost twin brother OS, a smaller, more mobile form factor, plus soon the ability to use android apps as well.

However, if it could be any tablet, I'd prob pick up a Grid10 by FusionGarage when it comes out. Love the UI!
I dream of World Wide webOS.

iPad2. I'd then trade it for 5 TouchPads!

They would all be a deal at that price, but I cannot deny the future of Android and therefore would go with the Tab 10.1
Treo 300->Treo 600->Treo 650->Treo 700p-> Palm Pre-> Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch (32GB Launch-day Touchpad sustains my webOS need for now)

What the hell would you do with 5 TouchPads?

I guess you've got two hands, two feet, and .. uhh.. one appendage.

That would be something to see.. well.. not necessarily see.

    I'll go now.

I love physical keyboards... but there is two devices that would make me consider a slab, one is something running a full version of Open webOS. The other is an iPhone!!!! HA HA just kidding (about the iPhone that is)...

iPad 2 no doubt. I have both an iPad 2 and a Touchpad and while the Touchpad is nice it does not compare to the iPad 2. Maybe if WebOS had time to develop more it could come close but right now they are worlds apart.
