I think I have figured this out. It is working consistantly for me.
1) open new browser and go to msn.com or bing.com 2) make sure your are logged OUT of your live or hotmail account by examining your status on either of these pages. Logging out clears a credential cookie or something?? 3) go to hotmail.com/m the mobile version of hotmail. login there. 4) close the mobile hotmail window and go to bing.com 5) on the bing page ...find the hotmail link and click it. 6) a micro$oft nag screen will complain you don't have a compliant browser. 7) On this page, select the ignore go on to hotmail link. 8) voila hope it works for you. The credential will be cached for hours/days?? but will finally expire. Hotmail will complain that you must relog in. GOTO 1) |

In the Email app you cannot for some reason see your self created folders in hotmail. Also I sort of hate the look and feel of the email app and have been either checking my mail on my normal computers or using the browser.
Except for of course Hotmail who tends to refuse to work on any mobile device. Sadly this didn't work for me as when I went to bing and then hotmail it asked for me to sign in again. Oh well. |

To each his/her own. But personally I find the Email app in webOS to be rather good. Specially in how it uses synergy to bring all my email accounts in one place.

I don't remember doing anything special. Simply setup my Hotmail account like any other email account and all my folders showed up in the Email app. I am attaching a screenshot showing some of my personal folders in Hotmail.

I'm on my Pre+. I'll try my TP later. The long instructions didn't seem to work but the https did work.
Thanks everyone. I was just cursing about Hotmail and how to migrate years of stuff from it to GMail or something, then got preoccupied with the hurricane. |

I don't see anywhere that I can add https://hotmail.com I'm using the standard email app included on the tp. EDIT: Ok I managed to figure it out. I had to delete my hotmail account, and then recreate it using Microsoft Exchange. In there I was able to change the https to https://m.hotmail.com and it worked. Thanks for the help! To be able to use your folders in Hotmail, you have to set up the account as Microsoft Exchange. After clicking MS Exchange, do not enter your username and password, instead, choose manual set up. For server, enter m.hotmail.com after the https. For domain, enter hotmail.com, for username, your hotmail email address, etc....
Click sign in and it will auto sync your folders, etc... Enjoy! |

hmm. I don't think that's accurate. HTML emails being sent to my MS Exchange account are rendering perfectly fine in my TP webOS email client? Maybe its the version of the Exchange server or some config on the server side. I've got graphics, html tables etc all showing up fine. We use Exchange 2007 I think.
