All of these rental places are ****ing scumbags, called up Aaron's on the phone, the girl said they have Touchpads and their policy is to price match or you get $100. I go in, the manger comes out and says they can't sell them for any less than $180 cash because of some directive. He then tries to say no price match is valid because they include some special case. I told him I didn't want a case, he said it's not possible to do because the case is INSIDE the box. I told him to show me, and he brings out a brown shipping box, with a sealed Touchpad inside and a case on top of it. I told him the TP is still sealed and the case is not in HP's retail box. He still didn't care. Waste of gas, complete ****ing scumbags.
did you buy it? If not, you are just mad because you don't have one...
Austin, TX area stores may have some but I called like 4 stores and they all said 'not for sale'. They are for add ons to computer leasing for an additional $20/mo on top of the computer lease.
least expensive pkg was $99/mo. Including the touchpad.
no help there.............
Last week I had stopped by a store and they were out but hoped to get more. I pre-paid the 179 less 20% and was told if they did not get them I would be refunded.
I stopped in today and was told that I could only get one in a rental package, sorry. I was to be refunded. After the refund was processed the manager turned and patted a box saying that it was the one that had arrived for me that he could not sell me. What a $#%@.
Some people had luck being able to buy one out right for $179 - %20 off if they paid in full w/ cash or credit. Most people have not had that luck. The few times I stopped in or called Aarons, they would only sell it to me bundled with a laptop, or lease it to me for the low low price of $99..... A Month!!!
And after 12 months, it's mine. Ohhh Happy Happy, Joy Joy!!
If that's not a rip off, I don't know what is.
