It looks like everybody and there dog is wanting a Touchpad now that it is $99 and that got me wondering what is a realistic price point for a tablet in todays market?

    Maybe $318

$299 was always the right price point, IMHO

Before the fire sale, I was enticed to buy it when it dropped 100, plus I had that coupon for staples for an extra 100 off. They sold out of the 16gb, so I paid 399 for the 32, which I thought was a fair price at the time. I would have rather had the 16gb at 299 though.

I guess that I should have put $350 and $399 in the poll too? I think $250-$300 would have been the sweet spot to generate high sale numbers.

I'm an early Pre minus adopter eligible for a $50 discount. So when my local Costco dropped the 32G from $579 to $479 via a $100 instant rebate, I jumped in expecting a final outlay of $429 before tax. They price matched me today down to $150 thankfully. But I was pretty satisfied at the $400 range.
