Just ordered a mico usb SD card reader.

MicroUSB on one side to plug into the touchpad, and a starded SDHC card reader on the other..

Anyone know if this will work on the Touchpad?

It has a USB host mode right?

I have read a few posts/stories which say TP does NOT have any USB host mode. Not sure if there is any sort of workaround or homebrew method but Im guessing no from what I have read.

Let us know if you find something different!

Nope. Sorry to dissapoint you but that will not work. The USB port on the TouchPad only allows access to the user partition on the TouchPad and allows for charging of the TouchPad.

I just tried what is listed in the wiki, but no dice. do i need to install anything else to make it work?? just curious as direct connection to a card reader would be epic.

Here's a link to my setup, it's worked for everyone who's tried it except one and currently let's you access external HDD, usb sticks, and card readers. WebOS has full host support built in but it just can't power usb devices.

No it doesn't work, you need to follow the setup Bable has in post #13.
