I installed arial unicode ms and all unicode fonts with preware and webos quick install - None of them works.

How to get indian language unicode values in webos browser

Tried one - below is useful but don't work for in
    http://forums.precentral.net/hp-touc...s-unicode.html

I tried prefox (firefox version for webos) which don't work.

Please help to resolve to view the tamil unicode values in webos

    Thanks
    Antony G

Able to view Tamil character based on ptrshah suggestion of renaming "arialuni.ttf" file to "Heisei_Kaku_Gothic_nb.ttf" :-) (only issue is some joined characters are displaying separately - it is better then square boxs)

Do this (WARNING: doing this might stop you from viewing japanese characters. if you want to keep a backup of the font first, do a receive file of /usr/share/fonts/Heisei_Kaku_Gothic_nb.ttf to a location on your machine):
-copy "Arial Unicode MS" font from C:\winodws\fonts to c:\
-rename the "arialuni.ttf" file to "Heisei_Kaku_Gothic_nb.ttf"
-use WebOS Quick Install to send the file to "/usr/share/fonts"
    antonieraj and krish_ravi like this.

I downloaded "Arial Unicode MS" (arialuni.ttf - 22MB Size) font from rapidshare.
Also downloaded latha.ttf and AshmoTAM.ttf fonts from Vikatan.com.
    Added those fonts to /usr/share/fonts/.
    It did not work.

Also I replaced Heisei_Kaku_Gothic_nb.ttf with these fonts (one by one).
all the fonts works only partially (not 100%) (Few characters not able to read).

Why do we need to overwrite "Heisei_Kaku_Gothic_nb.ttf" font? Any reason

As per "Vietnamese Unicode" post, they just added new fonts under /usr/share/fonts/.
    It works for them

    Help Needed.

I used Nova Browser to replace fonts. (no need to restart the device. just reopen browser)
