Just got off phone with Newegg customer service - regardless of HP's stance they will NOT adjust the price for early adopters.

    Absolutely feel gutted right now.

Will they?? My retailer won't refund me either. Any idea what number to call?

Best shot i have is getting MasterCard to adjust, but I think they can only do $250.

When I called HP yesterday they said it is up to the retailer.

They need a nationally advertised PRINT ad to do such. Anyone know of one?

Strange as Newegg is usually good about such things. Maybe they'll change their mind after HP talks to them. They were really great about the sandy-bridge fiasco.

Best Buy changed their tune, maybe NewEgg is still in talks with HP.

He was quite adamant about it, he said even if HP said so it is a MSRP. They will probably get the break from HP and keep the profit.

Lesson learned - never shop there again.

I pre-ordered mine from Newegg as well. Sad. I will be calling HP tomorrow, and if they can't do anything, I'll call my credit card company for an adjustment.

Definitely I think my retailer is going to do the same I'm ****ed. I'm going to keep trying with HP. Any number that I can maybe call that's better than the regular number?

This is the regular home and office line. Is there any other line; like some one at corporate or some one with a bit more authority than these people?

I guess he wants you to go back in time. I am having a GREAT day trying to get this refund. I actually am on the phone with them now and have been directed to their reseller support line:

    This might help.

Any luck? I'm just getting the run around. But I am using the guise that if my retailer is not going to take the refund from HP and therefore refund me, then HP should refund me. Let's see where this goes.

Let me know if you get anywhere.
