So I have a flash object that I would like to open on the TP, but I cannot figure out how to do it. There's obviously no standalone flash app, but I tried creating an html document to open the flash object and I couldn't figure out how to open it via the web browser. I tried opening the html file through internalz and it only opened it to edit and not through the browser.
Anybody know or have any ideas on how I might accomplish this?
    Thanks in advance!

I'm still running Pre- 1.4.5 so I don't have Flash running, but I run lighttpd to serve localhost html. I image it would serve the embedded flash in your html:
    Lighttpd
    -please post if it works!

Thanks for the tip! I installed lighty, but honestly, I think this might be a bit over my head at the moment. I read through the wiki, but I'm a bit lost as to what to do after install. It didn't look like a lot of the page was necessary for what I needed it for.

It looks like I need a command line interface to start and stop lighty, is that right?

I apologize for the ignorance on all this!

I believe the current install from Preware creates a www directory in /media/internal and auto-starts the server. Since you mention you have Internalz installed, you should be able to copy your html and swf files into /media/internal/www and then access from the web browser with
    Code:
    http://localhost/
(this should give you a directory listing where you can click the link to your html).

Thanks for the follow-up bbito! Unfortunately, typing in BlackBerry Forums at CrackBerry.com gave me a "Unable to Load Page" error.

I did a weird workaround that actually ended up working though!
I uploaded the html file only to my box.net account and then transferred all my files for the flash program I was trying to run into the download folder for box and then opened the html file from the box interface and it worked!

Funny enough, the URL that it opened was 'http://localhost/' but typing that in directly gives me that error

something like this might be the easier solution:

Thanks! It turns out after a bit of fiddling, that's what I ended up with. After I got the flash file to load, I then added the page to my launcher and now it opens up just like a native app! Very cool indeed

Thanks so much to both of you!

Just an FYI for everyone out there. My flash object I'm trying to open has multiple linked flash files and apparently trying to open a 13MB flash file doesn't work - it won't load the file and as far as I can tell, the only difference is that the other files are significantly smaller than 13MB, i.e. ~2MB

If anyone has ideas, please let me know!
