I'd like to just make this thread to inform any potential buyers that the Touchpad screen has a polarization filter similar to the Pre2 that causes the screen to be unusable in the portrait orientation with polarized sunglasses.

The Pre2 screen polarization is diagonal so you cant see the screen unless it is held at a 45 degree angle.

If anyone else would like to add their findings as well or comments, then feel free.

thats how all LCDs work. Even your digital watch.

MThe big significance is that the polarization conflicts with the portrait view when normally its only when you have the LCD diagonal like the the Pre2.

I just picked up my prescription polarized shades today, it appears you are correct! Thankfully, I use my TouchPad in landscape the majority of the time, and am consequently, unaffected
