Does the touchpad and Pre 1 work together in any way?

Well I have a first generation Pre and Im on the fence on getting a touchpad.

So I was wondering do they sync in anyway?.....Like getting my text on the touchpad or phone calls etc.

I know the touching pre3 and touchpad to transfer info won't work but Im wondering about the other things.

Just phone calls. No texts unfortunately.

You can answer calls from your Pre\Veer\Pixi and make calls from the TPad. Works great. Really impresses iUsers.

Do any of you know if they are working on a patch to make text work?

My contract for my first phone is almost up...Might get a Pre 2.....,maybe a pre 3 if it ever comes.
