That was in 3.0. The 3.0.2 developer version supported on-screen keyboard and of course now that 3.0.2 is released we have that support without having to install a dev version.

I heard Derek mention LibreOffice on the latest Palm Cast - has anyone tried this? Does it work on the TouchPad? Would like to try and get something (other than Google Docs) for document creation.

Having checked out Picsel Office - I think this is what my preference would be - the You Tube videos make it look fantastic - worth paying for!

I'm no developer, and to be honest.....I haven't read the thread all the way through...it's not a high priority for me. I do believe the developer did say they were working on it, and as you may or may not be aware, SDK's have only been out for a short time, which developers need prior to writing apps. You're better off to ask the actual developer for a projected forecast of release, than someone who was just pointing out that something other than QuickOffice was in the works

I'll venture a guess that if they have videos out, it's moving along.

I think I might just check out them videos

If you notice at the bottom of the comments below the video.....

It says "Final release depends on HP"......

Sounds like a finished product awaiting approval.....but what do I know?

That changed yesterday, I was typing on the virtual keyboard in Chromium today and cutting and pasting at will into Libre Office's writer.

Here a thread, there a thread, everywhere a thread thread (below):
