    Hi,

I am not sure if I am missing any preference option here but I could never figure out how to specify what folder I want to get indexed with the music/photos app. By default webOS picks up all media available on usb partition and indexes it for music and photos app. And same applies for exhibition mode.

I keep my media in a specific folder and do not want webOS to look into any other folder. How can I do that? If not can I request a patch for that?

    Thanks,
    Sahil

That's a very good question. I don't know of anyway to prevent webOS from indexing certain folders. Yes, a patch request would probably be in order here.

It would be nice if there was a patch that would allow one to set what folders the media apps should include.

The Media Indexer will not index any file or folder that's name starts with a period (.).

If you embed your cover art it will not show in photos.

But adding the . in the folders also stops the music player from showing your album art.
