My Wi-Fi issues occured again on my Touchpad. I initially thought that these problems were hardware related but I now believe that it is software related or at least a software related problem with some routers or router Wi-Fi settings.
Yesterday I went and exchanged my Touchpad for a new Touchpad device at Best Buy because I thought that the Wi-Fi hardware was faulty and giving me intermittent results. Once I got the new device I was able to initially get on the internet with no problems. After playing around with the device, I plugged my Touchpad to charge last night, and the device went to sleep. When I woke up this morning, I pushed the on button to wake the touchpad, entered by Device Lock PIN (I am using an Exchange Account), and attempted to browse the web. I typed in some urls but the web pages would not load and I got a cannot load page error in the process. I also attempted to connect to the box.net app but the app hung.
I checked the my Wi-Fi settings and I was still connected to my network and I had an i.p. address. I decided to go downstairs to a location closer to the router even though I had full signal bars upstairs. I attempted to connect to web pages again but I received the same error. I tried to access these same sites on my Wi-Fi enabled phone and my Sprint pre phone was able to access these web pages very quickly. I then decided to go to the basement where the router is located. I sat directly next to the router but I got the same results, no webpage would load, but again my Sprint pre minus phone was able to load these same web pages very quickly.
I proceeded to reset my Wi-Fi connection on the touchpad by going to Wi-Fi preferences, clicking forget network, and re-establishing connection to the Wi-Fi network again. Once I was able to successfully reconnect, I was able to get access to the web and the box.net app.
