Issue #1. When plugging headphones in to the device, the music coming out of the speakers does not turn off! Thats going to be a problem at work. I have tried multiple sets of phones as well as rebooting. Same results. Thoughts?

Issue #2. When moving items to favorites and rebooting, the items are no longer in my favorites and I must re-move them over to that tab. Thoughts?

Issue 2b. Any way to create additional menu tabs?

    Thanks.

Issue 1. there is a micro switch in the headphone socket that controls when the speakers are active or not. This switch could be stuck and you can try clearing the socket of any debris with a can of compressed air and exercising the switch by inserting removing the plug quickly several times. You can also run the interactive tests (under device info> (application menu) preferences, tests> interactive tests> audio) if this fails, there may be a hardware issue with the device.

Issue 2. What are you calling a reboot? If you are simply restarting by choosing restart on the power button menu or in device info, or holding the center button and power button for 15 seconds that should not happen. If you are performing an erase apps and data or full erase this would be the result.

Issue 2b. No, there is no way to add additional tabs.

Regarding additional tabs, I saw a tweet this morning (from Audemars02?) that showed a 5th tab. I'm sure someone is working on it.

#2 really needs to get fixed. Like now..

Hmmm. i am having the issue with #2 (app locations not sticking). I thought it was something to do with my tweaking of the launcher pages, but maybe its a larger issue and I un-necessarily doctored my Touchpad!

Are you hitting done after you move the icon to the new tab?

I rarely hit done, but rather just tap elsewhere on the screen to exit "edit mode"

And there is the light in the dark. So when I hit done I wasn't able to reproduce the issue. Tapping outside of the area to "save" my work made the little bugger show up.

Let's shoot this up the proper channels.

    1. Yeah, there is an issue with not tapping Done and instead tapping in a non icon space. Reordering will stop but the configuration won't be saved.

    2. Even when the configuration is saved, there are a few apps that will silently re-install or update themselves at boot, behind the scenes. These have the potential to fly back to their initial positions, regardless of where they were moved.

[Those two can be confirmed by watching the usual source of smoking gun evidence: /var/log/messages at boot time]

    3. Uninstalling an application whose icon you've shortcuted to the quicklaunch will cause the icon to remain.

[That one you can visually see; messages provides a little bit of clue that it isn't deleted as a mistake/bug]
