    Problems with this:

    1. My company's VPN subnets don't have any printers on them (we have to VPN in from the wireless network). Result- can't print to office printers. Not good for enterprise use.

    2. My home network is configured such that my printer is on a different subnet. Yes, I did this intentionally. I have a lovely small LaserJet that I'd like to be able to print to from my TouchPad.

    Can't print at home + can't print at work = no printing for me!

    I'm having issues getting connected to my company's cert-secured sites.
    I have loaded the certs successfully but when I attempt to go to a site that requires a cert I get an error stating "Unable to load page".
    I've tried with the following sites:
    https://reporting.adp.com
    https://payex.adp.com
    Both sites require a cert login as soon as you get to them.

    HardBeatz, have you been able to try to duplicate this:

    Files copied to the TouchPad don't show up properly (at all).

    • Copied a text file to the root of the USB drive (to import in an app).
    • Ejected the TouchPad. Received no errors.
    • Opened the app and could not find the text file. Couldn't find it in Quickoffice either.
    • Thought it was an application problem and eMailed developer.
    • A short while later, I took a screenshot.
    • The image did NOT appear in the photos app.
    • I connected to USB, and a Screenshots folder was present and the screenshot file was in the folder.
    • I pulled the cable out (did NOT eject it).
    • I received the "ouch that hurts" message.
    • A few seconds later, I notice that the Screenshots folder with my images is now visible in the photos app.
    • I go back to the app I was working with earlier, and it sees my text file now too (as does Quickoffice).
    • I connected USB and copied three MP3s to a Music folder I created.
    • Ejected the device, and received no errors.
    • Music app would not find/see my MP3s.
    • I re-connected to make sure they were still there, and they were.
    • I pulled the cable (did NOT eject it).
    • Recieved the "ouch that hurts" message.
    • As soon as the music app re-appeared, it found my MP3s and listed them perfectly.


    It seems like I have to hurt it to get it to see files I've copied over. The system I'm connecting to is running Windows 7, BTW.

    I had that same issue when syncing data using the HP Play beta music app. Until I pulled out the USB cable without unmounting first (thus getting the OWWW!!!! That hurt.... message), I was unable to see any of my music.

    Also, it wasn't until I rebooted that I could actually play my music.

    This seems to be the same bug as in WebOS 2.x

    here is a stop gap that works for me (though it is a P.I.T.A.)
    using internalz (or internalz pro) make the folder that holds the "missing" files masked from webos
    restart the device
    open the program (Music or Photos (I've not tried this with documents))
    you won't see the data still (i.e. if it's the entire music folder the App will say "No Music on device" or something of that ilk
    close the app
    open internalz and unhide the folder
    sometimes this is enough and sometimes you need to (once more) restart the device.
    This has worked for me 99.7% of the time

    I've been trying to watch this thread and I haven't seen anyone else post on this, so I might be alone.

    Issue exists in Facebook app. Just Type to update status yields a blank field unless app was already open.

    Expected behavior is that the app could be not open, you just type something, tap update facebook status, and then the app would open with what you typed filled in in the status field.

    Actual behavior is after tapping update facebook status the app opens, but the status field is blank. Anyone else?

    I just tried it, and it worked as expected.

    I've seen this on a number of sites. There's a common javascript hack to superimpose a page on top of another, giving the illusion of a "popup". This does not seem to work properly on the Touchpad browser.

    A similar example is using Facebook from the browser. If you're on a site that allows a "Share" to Facebook, opening that window throws up what seems to be a new window where you can comment on the site you're sharing. The link and comments area show up just fine, but there's no "Share" button at the bottom. It may briefly appear when scrolling around the page, but in the end, you can't locate the button to click on.

    There is an echo on the phonecalls via the TouchPad using bluetooth with PrePlus 2.1. I have tried this with 3 calls and each caller says my voice echoes, the third caller said his voice echoes as well.
    I have tried this with the TouchPad next to me and also with it about 2 feet away.
    (I hear the other person fine each time)

    Please please fix this.

    I guess this should officially be listed as an issue since we've got a thread confirming this with multiple people..

    check your device to see if there's a crack developing near your speaker housing. see the attached image for an example.

    I can confirm this. This also happens with the browser on the Pre.

    I can confirm this also. I never told anyone I was using bluetooth with a tablet or anything and I always get told that there is an echo.

    New small bug with updating apps:

    During the recent update of HP Catalog and USA Today apps from within the System Updates, apps are represented by a blue bar for the download status with a pause button in the middle. After the updates have been downloaded and before the installation completes, touching one of the blue bars brings up a blank Mojo card and the web browser navigated just to index.html.
