Is the cross-device functionality going to be there at launch?
I mean the getting a text/phone call on the pre 2 and being able to deal with it on the TouchPad.

I do plan to get a Pre 3 anyway, but this will be the deciding factor as to whether I get the TouchPad at launch (pending reviews) or not.

Also it's not been super clear, but I'm assuming that touch to share won't work with the Pre 2?

    Thanks!

they will have to update the pre 2 webOS version first.

    Ah, what a shame.

I'm not so sure it's on the way. They've been neglecting 2.x big time for 3.0.

I don't think touch to share will ever work. That's hardware related

Consider Pre3 is going to be running WebOS 2.3 and is expected to have full TTS capabilities with the Touchpad, I highly doubt they are neglecting 2.x. In the grand scheme of things 3.0 and the Touchpad is HP's main focus.

The Pre2 could have TTS capabilities with a update, but who knows when that could happen...

TTS depends on hardware the pre 2 doesn't have. I imagine call and text forwarding will work just fine via a software update though.
