The key flaw into all the rep folks are putting into these sales reps knowledge is this. You are speaking to people in the case of the e-mail contacts that are paid to sell to enterprise users (remember these are the small business sales reps). They aren't prepared to deal with people that follow every aspect of the industry, they are paid to deal with a business that wouldn't care about a product shipping Friday arrive Monday (in this case Tuesday). Not saying this is good or bad, but these are the people you are dealing with. In most business situations a product that would arrive at your business on a Friday afternoon before a long weekend wouldn't get used until your next business day.
I very much doubt the validity of a Small Business sales rep when it comes to retail information, they don't get paid to know what is going on with nationwide (or international) contracts with these massive retailers HP is contracting with.
