    Hey everyone,

What features do you think the TouchPad has that are essential to the success of this device?

And what features do you feel it is missing?

    HDMI out: (output video)
SD card reader (people have digital cameras)
USB in(slrs with compact flash, external hard drives. And other custom stuff people could make.)

edit: missed the software part, but still, those are REALLY important features.

The app splash screen (or animation screen) shouldn't be the ugly gray we seen on phones.

Yeah, agree. It's an improvement over the splash screen on the Playbook (terrible), but the gray is still annoying.
It'd be fine if it lasted less than or equal to a second, but since it doesn't, it's frustrating.

Desktop sync and backup. Cloud is good, but there is nothing like having a copy on your own computer.

Pretty sure that it's only a USB client port, not USB host.

And I have to agree, I thought for sure it'd at least have an SD slot built in for photos from a digital camera, after the fuss everyone made about the external connectors for that on the iPad.
