Any word on what external ports will be on the thing? SD, microSD, USB? I know its all about the cloud and tap to share, but would be nice to be able to connect various other storage devices, especially from cameras...

An SD-card slot would have been nice. I don't understand why the touchpad doesn't have one.

I get the impression that the touchpad is supposed to be a cloud device. So you do not store your data in an SD card, you store it in the cloud.

    Note the DropBox integration.

But there are millions of digital cameras and other devices out there that cannot store to the cloud.
How do you transfer data from those to the pad?

“Charger/microUSB connector with USB 2.0 Hi-Speed Headphone jack” sounds like the USB is audio output only. If it were full USB 2.0 compliant it would have drivers to allow data transfer from flash memory thumb drives and other digital media devices.

I just had an idea...now HP, I want royalties if you create one...

How about a tap to share card reader? Like a usb card reader, but it's interface is tap to share? You heard it here first...hopefully not the last time you hear it though...

Not really a port per se, but I would've liked to see DLNA even more than a HDMI port.

If you found my post useful then please sign up for a Dropbox Account, I could use the extra 250mb of storage.

Video output is a deal breaker for me. which is really tough since i've been commited to Palm for about 10 years now. Part of the draw is having a tablet thats built to run seamlessly with my phone!
i really hope they figure out a good alternative to no ports issues before android comes all the way out of the box-tablet style.

Tap the TV to play the video on it? (would need some kind of BT HDMI plug in device maybe)...

As someone who has a 1tb my passport, I would of really like a usb port. A hdmi out, and sd card reader would of made it significantly more useful. It would of aloud me to output my movies from my hard drive onto a bigger screen.
