Set up new Profile or Use Existing with TP?

When I got my TP about 2 weeks ago, I used my existing Palm Profile. All my apps came across. Since then, I have added some HD apps and deleted some legacy apps.

Now, I needed to redoctor my VZW Pre Plus phone. Using Backup and Save / Restore, apps that were deleted in my Touchpad did not come across and I essentially need to start from scratch.

So the question is if I am using both devices should I use two profiles? I had thought SYNERGY would keep track of the options associates by device for the profile but that is not my experience.
