Thanks for the guide thomaz. Now we need to experts to chip in on fixing this USB break. Or lead us to a way for this without breaking the USB mode.
Does this work for the Touchplayer also now? Last edited by mailtms; 09/10/2011 at 08:43 AM. |

Also would like to know why the share is not being AUTO mounted at boot time (that is why you added auto in the line). You should not have to run the shell script each time to mount the share. Anyone now why this is happening?

samba/CIFS setup can be tricky. Be sure you actually have a share on your Mac called Movies. Also, username should be YOUR Mac username, not "Shared", unless, of course, your username really is Shared. :-)
edit: did you make a "nas" directory in /media/internal? Last edited by MincerRay; 09/09/2011 at 07:54 PM. |

The USB mode should work again as long as you unmount the CIFS shares.
I tried using USB drive mode without problems after the CIFS shares were unmounted Quote:

1- to mount the shared dir 2- to unmount the shared dir when we want to use USB mode? Is this correct? What will be the 2nd file look like? (sorry for the noob question, I am not and linux/It guy) |

First of all, Thanks OP for your efforts.
I tried to follow the instructions and was able to go through the end. I am able to mount the files as instructed in 8b. The files are visible and the Touchplayer can play them. However when executing the "ksmp.sh" I get the following error: mount error: can not change directory into mount target /var/palm/jail/com.kalemsoft.ksmplayera/media/internal/nas Consequently, the Kalemsoft MP does not show the nas files. What am I doing wrong here? Any help would be appreciated. Last edited by mailtms; 09/18/2011 at 11:10 AM. |

I was able to get step 8b to work, but I am having the same problem as mailtms. When I run "ksmp.sh", I get the following error mount error: can not change directory into mount target /var/palm/jail/com.kalemsoft.ksmplayera/media/internal/nas. I was going to play around with it to see what the problem is.
