Default 'Verify Clean System before you start' question

Hi All,

I have started looking at installing Ubuntu on my TP (because the browser doesn't let me use essential sites - but that is another question). I decided to go down the road of manually setting the partition as described in UbuntuChroot - WebOS Internals.

The issue is that I find when I do the step of

/usr/sbin/f s c k.vfat /dev/mapper/store-media

(That isn't quite how I type it but nanny thinks I'm using a bad word)

I get a message

There are differences between boot sector and its backup.
Differences: (offsetriginal/backup)
71:48/20, 72:50/20, 74:54/20, 75:4f/20, 76:55/20, 77:43/20, 78:48/20
, 79:50/20, 80:41/20, 81:44/20
1) Copy original to backup
2) Copy backup to original
3) No action
?

I tried doing a restart but there was no change when I went through it again.

I also tried selecting 1. but there was no change and the message repeated. Also, after disconnecting from the PC, I couldn't run internalz or Preware without restarting again.

After the second restart I once again tried but the message is still there.

So, can anyone suggest how to get round this? I'll be very grateful if you can.

Doug

similar message here, can anybody elucidate, I was following the guide http://forums.precentral.net/hp-touc...ml#post3194874 to remove ubuntu and resize the partitions and **** produced the following:

root@******HPTouchPad:/# /usr/sbin/****.vfat /dev/mapper/store-media
dosfsck 2.11, 12 Mar 2005, FAT32, LFN

Could it be the bootsecter changed when HP updated the OS? Which option do I select?

I don't suppose that there was an answer to this question? I have the exact same issue ... even the numbers are the same and am wondering what to do?

Thanks all.
