    Hi everyone,

I have a pre 3 unlocked on 2.2.4 and one day it didnt boot at all, it was stuck on the HP logo.

So i try to doctor it, but it saty stuck at 12%

And now i try to put doctor on it a the phone keep saying that the battery is still charging and webosdoctor says that they are unable to recover the device.
I try with an another version of webos (2.2.0)...the same...

    Any ideas ?

I was using a hp cable but now i only have a samsung usb cable, is that the issue ?

    Thanks

12% is a magic number I've seen a lot here on the Doctor. Haven't seen it myself though.

That said, truly trying to be helpful and not snarky: https://www.google.com/search?site=w...ebosnation.com

A lot are about the Touchpad, but some solutions seemed to reveal what might actually be broken with the Doctor when it freezes at 12%.

Yes.. maybe this old post will help you?

It seems that this particular issue is revolving around an issue with "resizefat /dev/mapper/store-media" and the fact that the fat size is different than the backup.

I did a bit of research and came up with the following solution:

Run WebOS Doctor via CMD line "java -jar webosdoctorp302hstnhwifi.jar"

When the Dr. hangs up at 12% open novaterm and connect to your device

    Then type the following command:

    dosfsck -r /dev/mapper/store-media

And follow the prompts to correct the fat size to the backup (I believe I chose option 2 and then restore to backup and then 'Y')

Now put your tablet back into recovery mode and re-run WebOS Doctor. The error where it is hanging up should be gone and the system will flash completely.

    Cable shouldn't be the issue.

    You might want to check:
How To Recover - WebOS Internals

And when that doesn't help: Last Resort Emergency BootLoader Recovery - WebOS Internals
HP Veer (daily driver), HP Pre 3, HP Touchpad Proper 4G/LTE (Sierra MC7710), HP Touchpad 32GB WiFi, Palm Pre 2

    Hi guys,

I try the solution of Mutoidi, but when i execute the novaterm command, here is what i have :

    ln: /var/luna/preferences/localtime: File exists
    root@webos-device:/# dosfsck -r /dev/mapper/store-media
    dosfsck 2.11, 12 Mar 2005, FAT32, LFN
Long filename fragment ":9+P:9X+:0No:8+K:9y4:7Wa:lzc:6RB;DhK:3B1:610:8ow:80c" found outside a LFN sequence.
(Maybe the start bit is missing on the last fragment)
    1: Delete fragment
2: Leave it as it is.
    3: Set start bit

And if i delede or continue and leave it as it is, i have other message from the same style and it never end !!!

    HELP PLEASE !
