EVDO Stops Working after WiFi Switch

I am using Verizon pre3, 2.2.4. I always have the WIFI and EVDO on, I use WIFI at home, when I leave the WIFI covered area and try to use web through EVDO, it fails although the 3G signals seem to work 'well'. I have to turn the data usage OFF and ON and restart the web browser to recover from this.

I found a similar thread 'EVDO Stops Working after WiFi Switch' reported before, but don't get the solution.

I am wondering if there is some solution to fix this problem?
