Cant Download webOS doctor for Pre3

Going to Hp webOS support page

first issue is under phones the Pre3 is not even listed.

and logging into my HP webOS account shows my existing TP, and old TP that was replaced underwarranty and my Pre3 AT&T recently purchased of eBay.

Device Name: (blank), Ph #: (blank), Model: Manta ATT (ATT),Device Id: IMEI:XXX, S/N:W3BD17NB1234, Product: (blank), OS Ver: 2.2.4

clicking on device options for my Pre3 give option to Download WebOS Doctor but when i click on it i get:


Error: Sorry, that is not a valid serial number.

To get webOS Doctor:

Pick Again

1. Log into your Palm Profile
2. Click 'Device Options'
3. Click 'webOS Doctor'
4. Follow the steps to run the software. It will reset your device and install the latest version of webOS.

Any other way I can download webOS doctor?

I had the same problem (with the same solution) a couple of days ago. As there is an easy workaround, that's not too bad. More problematic would be if you wished to remote wipe your phone; if it got stolen, for example.

lets hope its the bloke standing next to you with a recognisable iphone5 is the one that gets mugged and stabbed to death and not you. Criminals likely wouldn't want your unknown phone.

My pre3 is at&t but I use it in Australia so would like to know what can I safely remove from the att.tar in webos doctor.

I know i can remove these apps
