Default Text message question.
I just activated my pre3 and all the text messages are going through Google Talk. My stupid question is, do you need a sim card inserted in the phone for proper text messaging....not through Google talk. Calling out works, 3g works properly but the messaging isn't correct.

Yes. I went through the whole process then did the test call to #834 too.. Could being connected to my touchpad through Bluetooth cause this? I switched service back to my android phone for now...

Just wanted to add a little more info in case anybody has any other suggestions, after I input a message a box pops up that states: Messages can no longer be sent or received in this conversation. What does that mean?

It usually means that you have re-logged in to your account.

Hi all.

Sorry for Hi-jacking this thread.

On my Pre-Plus I could add my signature for the SMSes through a patch available.

I have not been able to find a similar patch for my Pre 3.

Can anyone help?
