I just went from my old provider to my new one (MobileVikings.com) and i'm having some problems..
one of the problems is that everyone who is calling me (even it's a contact) is called 'voicemail'... ![]() so I went out for a search in my contacts - and there is a profile called voicemail with the number of the voicemail. When I try to delete it I get this messages: ![]() The provider tells me it's a problem with HP and the Pre3.. I tested it on a Pre- and I don't have the problem overthere.. It reads the incalling calls well and gives me the profile that is calling.. Does anyone have a clue what to do? I can't delete the sim profile on the phone, would it be poissble to erase it on an other OS? thx in advance!

if they are aware of the issue and advised you that why not...
However I really doubt it will work because the number is stored on the sim, a full erase doesn't affect the sim card and after the full erase all accounts data (including sim account) are restored anyway. Remove the sim insert it in another phone delete the incriminated number from there, meanwhile remove the sim account from your Preł. |

I put it in a Samsung phone, did an erase and it was gone..
putted it in my Pre3 and it was back.. Tested it already on my Pre- & Pre+ and I had no problem with it when someone calls me they show the right contact information... I test 2night if that 'voicemail' contact shows up on my pre- en Pre+ (tested it but forgot it already..)

Did you delete the SIM account as well?
Btw I don't think the problem is the voice mail profile as the caller number shown is different. IMHO this is just a variant of the Caller ID problem. Make sure your regional settings are set to Belgium and save your contacts in international format (+area code XXX.XXX) Or read this when receiving a call contacts are displayed as "voicemail" Last edited by Vity Traff; 11/08/2012 at 05:54 PM. |
