Astraware Games

Hey guys I was curious about the Astraware catalog of games. I had a Pre2 that I had several Astraware games on, but on the Pre3 there is only Soduku. I have read and understand that some games didn't make the jump to the Pre3 , are all the Astraware games exclusive to the Pre2 and theTouchpad or did Astraware pull all their games from the Pre2 and the Pre3? I couldn't find them in the HP App catalog on the Pre3 or in Preware. Thanks in advance for any information.

I don't know if this is helpful, but on my Pre2 when I search for "Astraware" in the HP App Catalog, I get

Sudoku
Mahjong*
Casino
Board Games
Tradewinds 2*
Police Range
OddBlob*

the asterisks are ones I own.

So it appears only Sudoku has made the leap to the Pre3...but maybe you should visit their website and see what you can see there?

Or use App Tuckerbox to download it, and see if it works? A lot of PDK games just work but might scale and become a bit blocky.

When I search "Astraware" on my Pre 3, I too only get Suduko. I had the same issue with a number of games I had purchased on my Pre 2, I had to use App Tuckerbox and turn on Ignore Device Compatibility in Preware in order to see & download my games.
Might also be worth contacting Astraware, maybe they can update the app tags so they will show up as being Pre 3 compatible.

IIRC Astraware has stated they do not have a Pre3 to test on... It was in the TouchPad totalizer thread IIRC

Sadly many PDK games won't run on the Pre3, and as far as commercial software goes, it is a dead platform. If games are a priority for you, stick with the Pre2.

Agree there, if you want more gaming options(only what's left, of course) you might want to try the Palm Pre 2. Sadly, the Palm Pre 3 didn't get much support from developers due to its short demise in the market thanks to HP incompetence. Anyways, try searching the catalog maybe you could find some games from selected companies.....
