    Hello again,

I have just purchased a previously enjoyed HP Pre 3. The previous owner has changed some icons for certain apps (Phone, Launcher, Clock and a couple of others) and I want to restore the icons to the original Web OS versions.

    How do I do this?

    Thanks!

Sorted it with Web OS Doctor.

That seems a little overkill. You could just do a Full Erase if you didn't want the previous person't stuff. I'm pretty sure there was an easier way to reset icon positioning than go full blown Doctor.

I don't think a full erase would restore overwritten app icons

Oh wait, I think I read it wrong. I thought it was rearranged icons. In any case, I still say Doctoring is overkill. Just extract the icons and push them to the device as necessary instead of rewriting everything.

Incorrectly uninstalled themes do leave errors behind and prevent default settings from being re-enabled... Then a trip to the Doctor is recommended.

I guess if you don't know how the theme was applied and uninstalled it would be a difficult trial and error process to set it right.

@GMMan - I'm not sure everyone has the skill, patience and/or time to "...extract the icons and push them to the device as necessary..."
