This is the case I opted for (albeit in Black). I'd prefer one that didn't have to open in order to use the slider and, ideally, that would also be usable on the touchstone. Given that those options aren't available, this case seems to offer me the best protection I could find. It isn't too difficult to flip it open and slide out the keyboard without taking it out of the case completely. The fit is snug but not too tight. Overall I'm pleased with it.

I think that case is hideous, unless maybe you have a job where you work at extreme heights like a window washer, tree trimmer or telephone company repair man and are prone to drops....but that is just my opinion.
And touchstone is not bad for the Pre3. These batteries do best when kept topped off. Mine has lived on a touchstone for about a year now and battery health is 97%. -- Sent from my Palm Pre3 using Forums

There are two cases where you could say TS is/can be bad. Increased heat when charging, and personal usage (how you use the TS) could cause issues with long term battery life. I wouldn't worry about it, my Mugen shows 90+% health and I am a preorder user and have no problem ordering another if needed.

I agree that the case isn't optimal but I didn't see any options that offer the same protection with any additional feature/options. The leather cases don't work work with touchstone either and you have to pull the phone out completely to use them just like the metal case.
I am somewhat prone to dropping the phone and with this case, even when I open it to use the slider, it is still somewhat protected if I were to drop it. I don't love this case and I'd love for someone to point me to something better. |

The only issue I've heard of is that Pre 3's larger size does not fit as comfortably/securely on Touchstones made for older Pre models. The chief complaint being that Pre 3 may fall off a TS in a moving vehicle due to vibration and road shock.
And a session reshaping the TS surface with a Dremel solves that issue...
