I've had my Pre 3 running great on AT&T since fall 2011. About a month ago, I switched to StraightTalk with a data plan. I switched SIMs and everything worked no problem. 2 days ago, the Pre 3 popped up some error about there not being enough space (it had at least 2 gigs free), and when I clicked OK (or whatever it said), it restarted and came up to the activation screen.
I couldn't activate using my original Palm Profile, so I tried entering the correct APN settings (as per Pre 3 on Straight Talk? Former Pre- User Wants to Come Home), I was able to get the H+ icon to show up. It had to be online because I was able to reset my Palm Profile password and see the password hint.
Just for kicks, I tried creating a new profile with a different email address and it worked! So the APN settings and the data connection must be working. I went through the activation process with this new Palm Profile, did a reset, and tried to log in to my original Palm Profile. It still doesn't work and says it can't find a data connection.
I'd like to get back into the original Palm Profile because it's shared with my Touchpad, and I've purchased a lot of apps since 2009. I'm stumped. Does anyone know what's going on?
