    Try booting it into recovery mode and then reformatting it using the recovery tool. There's detailed instructions and resources of everything you need to do that on the webOS internals wiki.

    Pay close attention
    1. Put it in Recovery Mode. Search if you don't know how.
    2. Download a 1.4.5 Pre Doctor. Yes, that's not the correct one.
    3. Start the Doctor.
    4. After 6-8% your Pre 3 will wake up.
    5. The Doctor will fail of course.

    really?? a 1.4.5 dr?? i should've tried this yesterday

    I fixed mine the other day using a 1.1.3 Doctor, but I don't expect OP to have that version lying around.

    Please note I stumbled across this fix when trying a 1.1.3 Doctor, a version you may not have.
    Rod just told me this procedure "does much the same as what our recovery page says for a filesystem check boot loop". I'm checking with him whether the same applies to the 1.4.5 Doctor.
    Answer: "maybe not, since by then they were attempting to preserve usb drive contents"

    Would someone point out where to get a 1.1.3 doctor? or a doctor previous to 1.3.1?

    Even I am also facing the same problem . I am struct to HP logo nothing else is coming when we switch on my phone . when plugged to USB Doctor is asking me to connect the device , where as the device is already connected .any process that I need to follow..... plz let me know.

    Try leaving Dr open and waiting for device....

    Plug in phone to USB.

    Remove battery.

    Hold volume up button.

    Insert battery.

    Phone connects with Dr. and you can release volume button and get on with what you need to do.

    Worked for me when I did something stupid with my Pre 2. A tip I saw somewhere in the USBpassthrough With Freetether complaint thread... I think that must be the recovery mode GuyFromNam mentioned above?

    my att pre 3 stuck on logo after i deleted from hp acc any help plz, just got it connected with st but wen i first sign in with my sister tmobile sim the phone # to her sim was still theare so i dicided to move phone see if my new # shows and pre 3 stuck at logo.
