Default how to overclock Pre3 to 1.9GHz

hey guys,

I have seen in the latest version of uberkernel that a new, 1.9GHz overclocking option has been ported to the Pre3.

However, I have no idea how to enable it. I have uberkernel and govnah installed, but just these. What should I do?

thanks.

You can change all that in Govnah, tap where it says 'Profile'.

There's useful help inside Govnah, tap the question mark.

yeah, eventually I figured it out. Unfortunately, the Pre3 lasts very little at 1.9GHz before going awol on me, so I reverted to the default profile and that's about it...

try 1.7ghz. It's less abusive, yet still a good 20% boost. No problems for me so far.

It can fry or just lock up a lot. I guess it depends on luck.

I LOVE my "new" 1,7Ghz Pre 3... Really makes a difference, and no problems yet!

Highly recommended!

I have been running my Pre 3 at 1.8GHz with Compression Swap off for a couple days now with no problems. The battery life with all the wireless radios on all the time seems decent to me. On the other hand, when at 1.9GHz......noticeably fast battery drain and my Pre 3 even shut down and restarted once.

I must have a Chuck Norris Pre3, because I haven't had any problems at 1.9Ghz. The battery doesn't hold up well, but otherwise it runs great.

Loading flash content is noticeably faster and Bing Maps is a little snappier as well.

I've been running mine at 2GHz and 90% up threshold with no other problems than quick battery drain. I usually run it at 1.4 and 85% with Warthog for a good compromise between battery life and performance.

I tried at 1.7Ghz with no problems but only battery drain like you!

I'm also running the phone at 1.7GHz and, this time, it is stable. Also, I didn't notice that the battery drains alarmingly quicker. It is, in fact, quite reasonable, so, yeah, maybe it's worth overclocking the phone.

cant say ive got the need to overclock it, no apps i have benefit it, atm ive downgraded mine to 1.2, sometimes 1ghz, if just to save battery power, the general use doesnt seem to suffer much if at all.

I'm able to run along nicely at 2.016GHz with the latest WarthogKernel. =)

Not that it's a race. ;-)

1.9 is fine w/ noticeable battery drain. The strange thing is 1.8 runs hot for some reason (47+) while 1.9 does not. 1.7 is as cool as 1.9 or default. I'm currently testing battery drain at 1.7.
