so I downloaded smart office for 5$ and damn is it better than quick office and built in pdf! Ffaasssttt nice and full editing.

anyway, is there a way where by default for these files it will use quick office not open office or pdf viewer? This I must admit is the one thing that is good about android is the ability to set default use programs.

Unfortunately, you can't do it with Smart office, at least not yet, because it is a PDK app.

Where in the system does default application info live? I'm quite happy to edit at the command line to change the info. I likewise want to use SmartOffice over QuickOffice.

SO cant be default, but the Default Apps info is in the launcher menu and the Device Info pref panel too. IIRC
