Just got an AT&T Pre 3 and have a question about turning the device off. The manual says to either turn on Airplane Mode and then turn off the screen or use the power button and do a true shut down. Any problem with using Airplane Mode? How much additional battery drain is there?

I've left my pre│ on the table with no connection but to check email through WiFi with 4 accounts every 6 hours and only get about 5 to 10 % drain a day . This is a pre│ with no data connection at all . So using airplane mode would make it at least about the same as that, I would think .

airplane mode turns off all radios Including WiFi.

shutting it down means just that.

its faster to use the phone again when in airplane mode than shutting it down
