Can you hold the option key on the keyboard and tap the icon and then select delete from the list that appears?

Did this just happen randomly or did you do something that might have caused it?
The way I have my phone set up is that I have both the stock Youtube app and also one from the veer doctor. The procedure to get the veer app running is quite long but I could provide it to you if your interested. The benefit is that video's actually play within the app instead of opening another card. I didn't realize this until now but by adding the veer app I'm strangely now able to delete the stock YouTube app which as you figured out you can't normally do.

Surely there is an easier way, but I don't know.
