    Hello!

Maybe this is old news but when i browsed through the dmesg output via novacom I found this:

    Registering wm8994 device.
    wm8994 4-001a: Device registered as type 1
    wm8994 4-001a: Audio Codec Device ID: 8994
    wm8994 4-001a: revision D
    wm8994 4-001a: WM8994 revision D
    ...and so on

So if only....at least the device should be able to provide HQ audio as well

It does sound surprisingly good, as Derek suggested in his review. I do wish it could go a bit louder (maybe via patch like with the TouchPad?)-- it'll be fine for casual listening, but in a loud environment like the gym, I'm not sure it'll do the trick for me.

Yes it does, maybe if we ask @supercurio Twitter for help - he's the guru behind "patching up" the sound on the Galaxy S1
